Auto Club Speedway opened in 1997. It's a 2 mile D-shaped oval superspeedway track with 14 degrees of banking in the turns, 11 degrees of banking on the frontstretch, and 3 degrees of banking on the backstretch. Seating capacity is 122,000.

4. NASCAR is more than just the race itself. Think about arriving early in order to rent a scanner (so you can hear the drivers talking to their crew chiefs), check out the pit and garage areas, meet some drivers, and purchase your favorite driver's souvenirs.
5. Qualifying and practice sessions are open to the public with an event ticket.
